Fair displays Huaxi district's specialties

The Guizhou Authentic Specialty Fair was held in Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, from Dec 20-22. 

The fair in Huaxi Park was composed of five major sections including food in Guizhou, specialties in Huaxi district, cultural creative and intangible cultural heritage items in Guizhou, and free trade. It showcased representative customs, specialties and food in Guizhou, especially in Huaxi, such as Huaxi rice noodles with beef and Huaxi organic strawberries.

The market gathered artisans, gourmet cooks, independent designers, and tea makers to showcase the most authentic customs and aesthetics of Guizhou through food, cultural creativity and special products.

Yang Guangqian, for instance, led her team to integrate the intangible cultural heritage of different villages and ethnic groups through cooperation and modern design, and developed creative public welfare products, attracting more young folk artists and embroiderers to return to villages of the Dong ethnic group.
