In the first three quarters of this year, Guiyang Hisense Electronics Co produced 2.33 million units, a year-on-year increase of 7.05 percent, while both TV export volume and export value rose by more than 8 percent.
The impressive performance is tied to the company's investment in smart manufacturing. Last year, Guiyang Hisense invested nearly 30 million yuan ($4.2 million) in technological upgrades, introducing advanced systems such as AI visual inspection and intelligent material warehouses, raising its automation rate to 55 percent. In June this year, the company became the first in Guizhou to achieve Level 4 certification for smart manufacturing capability maturity.
Since exporting 310,000 TVs to Japan in 2021, Guiyang Hisense has steadily expanded its overseas markets.
A key innovation has been the creation of a "30-minute supply chain circle", allowing supporting enterprises to deliver components directly to production lines, reducing material delivery cycles from one week to just two hours.
The industrial ecosystem centered on Guiyang Hisense now has an output value exceeding 11 billion yuan and has nurtured multiple core suppliers, including six supporting companies with annual sales exceeding 100 million yuan this year.
As the latest technological revolution and industrial transformation continue, digital technologies, smart factories, and internet applications are increasingly integrated into the light industry. By focusing on smart manufacturing, companies like Guiyang Hisense are driving industrial upgrading and becoming key drivers of high-quality growth in the province's light industry.
