The 2025 Geographical Indications Industry Promotion Forum and the Geographical Indication Products Fair opened in Jinan, Shandong province, on Nov 21.

Four premium geographical indication products from Guiyang – Xiuwen Kiwi Fruit, Huaxi Chili, Qingzhen Huangba (a type of traditional glutinous rice cake), and Xishan Tribute Rice – were showcased at the event, allowing Guiyang's distinctive offerings to shine on a national platform.

The Guiyang exhibition area saw a vibrant flow of visitors and a lively atmosphere throughout the fair. Particularly at the Huaxi Chili booth, a range of snack products such as fried fish mint, spicy crisps, and chili powder attracted large numbers of attendees, who stopped to sample the items.

According to preliminary statistics, on the first day of the fair alone, sales of various chili products in the Guiyang exhibition area exceeded 1,000 units. In addition, participating enterprises from Guiyang reached preliminary cooperation agreements with eight companies from across China.
