The Promotion Meeting for Culture and Tourism of Cool Guiyang took place in Singapore on Nov 22. Over 50 organizations participated, including tourism associations from Guiyang and Singapore, major travel agencies, and the Singapore office of Ctrip.
An official of the Guiyang bureau of culture and tourism said that Singapore is a popular destination among travelers from Guiyang and one of the city's key sources of tourists.
Earlier this year, the visa-free travel agreement between China and Singapore went into effect, boosting exchanges between the two countries.
Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is renowned for its unique natural landscapes and has launched over 100 new mountain tourism products. The city recently joined the Cities With Nature initiative at the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity and was recognized as a national forest city.
Guiyang was also named one of the "top 10 must-visit tourist destinations in China" at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2023.
During the meeting, the English version of the Guiyang International Official Travel Guide, a collaborative project between Ctrip and Guiyang, was launched. The guide, tailored to international travelers, provides an in-depth introduction to Guiyang's cultural and tourism offerings.

On the same day, Guizhou Guilyu International Travel Service Co signed a cooperation agreement with tourism companies in Singapore. The companies will work together to strengthen cross-regional cultural and tourism exchanges, relying on direct flights to further enhance collaboration and drive growth in the cultural and tourism sectors of both regions.
Additionally, the direct flight route between Guiyang and Singapore was launched on Nov 15. Guiyang is seizing the opportunity to streamline its tourist channels, explore tourist source markets, and foster the development of a new model for cross-regional cultural and tourism cooperation.
