Shanshu village, located in the southern part of Zhanjie town, Qingzhen county-level city in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, lies along the northern shore of the nationally renowned Hongfeng Lake.
Situated close to Provincial Highway 307, it is just 12 kilometers from the urban area of Qingzhen, making it easily accessible. The village is made up of 13 village groups, with over 5,000 residents living along the shores of Hongfeng Lake.
The village's most picturesque scenery is found along the S-shaped road in the Dapo village group by the lake. Standing at a high vantage point, visitors are treated to panoramic views of scattered islands, framed by distant rolling mountains.
Separated by a well-maintained asphalt road, neatly arranged farmhouses face the tranquil waters of the lake. The winding curves of the road also attract off-road cyclists, adding a dynamic energy to the serene lakeside landscape.
With the rise of rural tourism, Shanshu village has developed eco-sojourn and is gradually getting on track. The village's "sea-viewing" tours have attracted many visitors.
In the future, the village plans to integrate eco-tourism and cultural heritage by featuring eco-leisure, folk culture, and rural experiences, and relying on resources such as Hongfeng Lake, bamboo forests, and tea gardens. It aims to create unique tourist attractions and experiences, enhancing the reputation and appeal of Shanshu village's rural tourism.
Additionally, it plans to develop unique rural industries, such as popular photo spots, fruit and vegetable picking, barbecues, bamboo product making, and tea culture experiences.
This will encourage villagers to participate in the tourism economy, achieving the integrated development of tourism and industries, and promoting rural vitalization.
