The long table feast is a unique ethnic ritual in Southwest China's Guizhou province in which people gather around a long table to share a meal in celebration of harvests, important festivals, or to welcome honored guests. It's a tradition of hospitality, where everyone is treated as equals.

On the evening of Sept 27, international journalists and content creators participating in the 2024 China Storyteller Partnerships visited Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou, to experience the province's long table feast and savor its unique flavors.

Beef rice noodles are available everywhere in Guiyang, blending the texture of Vietnamese rice noodles with traditional Guiyang broth. Each bite is fresh, tender and fragrant.

Fruit tofu pudding combines tofu with fruit, offering a unique and satisfying sweetness. Other local delicacies include Guiyang bingjiang (sticky rice smoothie).

As the international guests tasted the culturally rich dishes, they also engaged in some of Guizhou's major rituals and experienced the endless charm of traditional Chinese culture.
