Ordinary passenger express train debuts between Guiyang and Xuyong

At 6:30 am on Dec 21, a passenger train departed from the Guiyang Railway Station in Guizhou province and headed for the Xuyongbei Railway Station in neighboring Sichuan province.

The train marked the opening of the 189-kilometer-long Xuyong-Bijie section of the Longchang-Huangtong Railway, an essential component of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

The Longchang-Huangtong Railway connects to the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway in the north and the Huangtong-Baise Railway (under construction) in the south.

It is divided into four sections: Longchang-Xuyong, Xuyong-Bijie, Bijie-Zhijin, and Zhijin-Huangtong. The Zhijin-Huangtong section opened in April 2011, followed by the Bijie-Zhijin section in January 2016. The Longchang-Xuyong section is currently being expanded and renovated.

The railway allows for the first ordinary passenger express train service between Guiyang and Xuyong county.

The K9391 train departed from Guiyang Railway Station at 6:30 am on Dec 21, stopping at Anshun, Dafangnan, Bijie, Yile, Guozhu, and Xingwennan railway stations before arriving at Xuyong North Station at 1:25 pm, with a total travel time of 6 hours and 55 minutes.

The K9395 train commenced service on Dec 22, departing from the Guiyang Railway Station at 4:54 pm and making stops at Anshun, Puding, Zhijin, Dafangnan, Bijie, and Xingwennan stations before reaching Xuyongbei Railway Station at 11:24 pm, with a total travel time of 6 hours and 30 minutes.

These two train services only offer hard seats, with a full fare of 64.5 yuan for the entire journey.
