Guiyang launches hot spring season to boost winter tourism

The 2023 Guiyang Hot Spring Season was launched at the Xifeng Nanshan Tianmu Hot Spring on Dec 2.

The activity, co-hosted by the publicity department of the CPC Guiyang Municipal Committee, Guiyang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, CPC Xifeng County Committee, and Xifeng County People's Government, aimed to enrich the tourism industry in Guiyang during the autumn and winter seasons, boost the local economy, and invigorate tourism during off-peak times.

The activity showcased various hot spring-themed activities, such as enjoying hot springs after a city walk, combining hot springs with local accommodations, indulging in Guiyang's delicious cuisine, and even participating in e-sports competitions. These new experiences are becoming a trendy way to spend the weekends and inject vitality into the city.

During the launch ceremony, four top-quality hot spring tourism destinations, including Xifeng Nanshan Tianmu Hot Spring, Siji Guizhou Hot Spring, Baimayu Hot Spring, and Taoyuanhe Hot Spring, were introduced, highlighting their unique features and winter tourism offerings.

Xifeng Nanshan Tianmu Hot Spring, recognized as a provincial-level forest health trial base, is currently the top hot spring destination in Guiyang on Douyin.

Zhang Feng, general manager of Xifeng Nanshan Tianmu Hot Spring, attributes this success to an authentic mountain environment, pure water, and natural hot springs.
