In the first half of this year, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, saw over 70 million tourist trips made, generating approximately 89 billion yuan ($1.22 billion) in tourism revenue.

This is partially due to the city's relatively cool weather, with an average temperature of 22.9 C, making it a destination for people looking to escape the summer heat.

Since the start of summer, Guiyang has launched an array of promotional policies related to ticket and tourist services, attracting flocks of people.

According to Ctrip, a large online travel platform in China, the number of travel-related purchases in Guiyang has surged 70 percent year on year.

In order to enrich summer life for tourists in Guiyang, the city has organized a series of activities, including the Guiyang Marathon, music festivals, food festivals, and shopping festivals.

Scenic spots in Guiyang have also seen peak visitor numbers. The average daily flow of people in Qingyun Market is steady at around 38,000, while Qianlingshan Park has reached its maximum visitor capacity.

Welcoming tourists from across the country, Guiyang has made every effort to improve its services and encouraged those in the tourism industry to be honest and law-abiding in order to make the travel experience as enjoyable as possible for everyone.
