Over the first five months of this year, Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province reported 8.49 billion yuan ($1.19 billion) of investment in place, signed 13 project agreements worth 15.26 billion yuan, and brought in 11 leading companies.

At present, big data has become the new area's backbone industry for the new area to achieve high-quality development, with a large number of data centers funded by Huawei, Tencent, Apple, NetEase, Midea, SPIC, and other giant manufacturers and information tech titans established or being under construction.

The Guiyang big data sci-tech innovation city serves as a vital hub for the development of electronic information and information technology services. With a specific emphasis on cloud computing, smart scenario applications, and software, this innovative city aims to foster technological advancements in these areas. As of the first half of May, the city had successfully attracted 485 corporations, showcasing its growing appeal and potential for further development in the field of big data technology.

Guian continues to deepen the reform to delegate power to lower levels of government, streamline government affairs, optimize government services, and urge industrial parks to handle their related affairs for local companies. By mid-May, a total of 338 problems issued by enterprises had been resolved.

The service window number of the new area's comprehensive government service center has increased from 76 to 103.
