Retail giant in Shuanglong zone sees soaring sales in Q1

In the first quarter of 2023, the sales of Sasseur (Guiyang) Outlets, a retail giant in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, hit 350 million yuan ($50.89 million), a year-on-year growth of 15 percent.

Compared with March since it opened, March this year saw the highest sales and year-on-year growth in customer traffic, which grew by 30 percent. It also set a new record for monthly online consumption.

So far this month, 124 of the more-than 300 brands in Sasseur (Guiyang) Outlets saw record sales.

In addition, customer traffic of Sasseur (Guiyang) Outlets in the first quarter increased by 13 percent year-on-year, exceeding that in 2021. It is also the first time that Sasseur (Guiyang) Outlet saw more than 100 million yuan in sales in both January and March.

The annual sales of Sasseur (Guiyang) Outlets have exceeded 1 billion yuan every year since 2019. On March 28, Guiyang Sasseur Commercial Management Co won the Shuanglong zone's prize recognizing outstanding tax contributions.

With more than 800,00 VIP members, Sasseur (Guiyang) Outlets has become a popular shopping destination not only in the Shuanglong zone, but among neighboring cities as well.

In the second quarter, Sasseur (Guiyang) Outlets will hold marketing campaigns on May Day and Children's Day in an effort to boost consumption.
