Experts from various departments in the Shanghai Children's Medical Center, the Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital and physicians from a Guiyang pop-up hospital held a video conference on Oct 8.

The telemedicine conference was convened to provide consultations on three child COVID-19 patients currently being treated at the pop-up hospital in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

All three children are asymptomatic cases of COVID-19.

During the two-hour conference, doctors attending the three cases gave a briefing on their current treatment plan and the medical examination results, while those participating provided consultations on further treatment and offered their professional advice on nutrition.

The experts discussed the children's etiology, pathology, diagnosis, treatment and nursing – offering their treatment opinions and experience, tailoring their advice to the individual situation of each patient.

As a national children's medical center, the Shanghai Children's Medical Center will do its utmost to help the children recover soon and provide invaluable experience in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

That's according to officials from the Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital and the Guiyang pop-up hospital.
