In recent years, Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- has promoted the integration of its enterprises and big data, in order to accelerate the supply-side structural reform of the real economy.

In 2020, Guiyang has incentivized 600 businesses to participate in the deep integration of big data. That process had developed new industries, new formats and new models -- such as contactless distribution, intelligent services, fresh food e-commerce, online education, remote consultations and remote offices.

In the year to October, Guiyang has 44 provincial-level benchmarking projects for the integration of enterprises and big data and 20 provincial-level intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration projects.

The city is also home to 10 national pilot demonstration companies in the field of intelligent manufacturing, as well as 31 national pilot companies for the integration of advanced management systems and industrialization.

At present, 83.5 percent of the city's manufacturers above a designated size -- those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.89 million) or more -- have used cloud services.
