Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a promotional activity in Wudang district on Nov 30 to publicize its government data open platform.

The platform was officially launched in 2017, becoming a pilot project for exploring local government data transparency in China.

In recent years, Guiyang's government departments at the county, district and municipal levels have shared high-quality data resources related to agriculture and rural areas on the platform.

Using the data platform, citizens can track agricultural products' sources and learn more about Guiyang's government data transparency strategies.

So far, the platform has made more than 2,700 data sets and 380 data interfaces available to the public for free, which includes data from 44 municipal government departments, 13 cities, districts and counties and 14 industry areas such as agriculture.

Among these are more than 140 data sets involving agriculture and rural areas, including 54 municipal level sets and 83 district and county-level sets.
