Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is exploring the integration of the internet with medical care and it has launched online medical care services - to optimize health services for its citizens.

Guiyang started building a big data platform in 2016, which collects the medical care data of millions of its residents from hospitals at the municipal, county and township levels.

An important tool for the diagnosis of doctors, the platform provides the medical data of citizens who go to doctors at Guiyang's 298 medical institutions.

In the future, the residents' paper health records will be replaced with digital ones. The community health centers will collect and store all the residents' health records on computer, allowing doctors to learn about their health conditions and residents will be able to download their health records and diagnosis information on their phones.

Xintian community health center in Wudang district is one of the first health centers to realize digitalized vaccination clinic in 2016. The pre-diagnosis, registration, vaccination and observation information of children from different areas can be shared, which reduces the workload for the center, and is convenient for the residents.
