A wine industry development summit was held on Sept 9 in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. The event was part of the 10th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo, which runs from Sept 9 to 13.
Experts, scholars and other representatives from the wine industry shared their opinions and experience on the sustainable development of China's wine industry.
Vice President Liu Jiping of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade's Guizhou branch said at the summit that, due to the novel coronavirus, this year's expo is being held both online and offline to boost the development of the alcoholic beverage industry.
According to Xu Xiaohu, vice president of the China Chamber of Commerce of I/E of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-products, those engaged in the alcoholic beverage industry should stick together to promote the upgrading and transformation of the industry.
