Guizhou, Guiyang rank among 'most welcoming' tourist destinations

Chinese travel service provider Ctrip released a report on tourist destinations on July 29, just half a month after trans-provincial tours restarted.

According to the report, Southwest China's Guizhou province ranked third among the country's "most welcoming" provinces, behind Yunnan and Sichuan.

Guizhou's provincial capital, Guiyang, ranked fourth among the nation's most welcoming cities, behind Sanya in Hainan province, Lijiang in Yunnan province and Zhangjiajie in Hunan province.

The number of people visiting Guizhou is also on the rise, with the province ranking 10th among all Chinese provinces for tourist growth. China's western region, comprised of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou; northwestern area, represented by Gansu and Qinghai; and southern area, which includes Hainan, Guangdong and Guangxi, are favored by tourists.
