Guiyang municipal government in Southwest China's Guizhou province reached a strategic cooperation agreement with the Guizhou branch of the People's Insurance Company of China (PICC) July 14.
According to the agreement, Guiyang and PICC's Guizhou branch will carry out cooperation in medical services, poverty alleviation, infrastructure construction, energy, transport and social assistance.
Guiyang has always attached great importance to the development of the insurance industry, and introduced insurance funds to support the construction of major projects and the development of the real economy.
PICC's Guizhou branch has made great contributions to Guiyang's work resumption and major project construction during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Su Kangke, the head of the Party committee at PICC's Guizhou branch, said that the company wishes to give full play to the role of insurance in risk management, agriculture, rural area development, poverty alleviation, medical services, social governance, people's livelihoods, and scientific and technological innovation.
