A shipment of 25,000 kilograms of dried mushrooms worth 2.7 million yuan ($385,469) was sent to Thailand in early July, the first time that mushrooms from Guiyang – capital of China's Southwest Guizhou province – were exported to an international market, according to local officials.

The dried mushrooms were produced by Guizhou Wantai Modern Agricultural Food Co, a company located in Guiyang's Baiyun district.

The company is equipped with six mushroom production lines and is targeting markets in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.

It received fast track services provided by Guiyang's Zhucheng Customs that included company registration and import and export registration.

Officials said the customs office is improving supervision of all exports and requires companies to guarantee the product quality.
