The latest theoretical achievement in block chain-- contained in a book called Sovereign Block Chain 1.0 written by Guiyang's key laboratory of big data strategy -- was jointly published on June 30 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province and Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province.
Block chain is an advanced digital database being increasingly used in the financial services industry that contains information -- such as records of financial transactions, that can be simultaneously used and shared within a large decentralized, publicly accessible network.
The book propounds the basic law of internet development, from the internet of information to the internet of value and then to the internet of order.
In addition, it introduces three theories on digital civilization and discusses the cultural significance of science, technology and Yangmingism, a theory founded by ancient Neo-Confucian philosopher Wang Yangming, in building a community of common destiny for all mankind.
According to Lian Yuming, director of the key laboratory of big data strategy, block chain's digital identity, currency and order will become a force in changing the future.
So-called sovereign block chain is the result of Guiyang's innovation and exploration in block chain theory first proposed in 2016.
During the 2017 China International Big Data Industry Expo, it was selected among the top 10 new terms of big data, becoming an official scientific and technological term in China.
