The China-Africa session, one of the special business promotion events of the 2020 Guiyang Import and Export Online Fair, was held on June 27, according to officials.
Companies involved in heavy industry, unmanned drones, imports and exports, tires and auto parts presented their products. Officials said these showcased the potential of China-Africa cooperation and attracted the interest of African companies concerning future trade.
Over 100 entrepreneurs from Southwest China's Guizhou province and Africa attended the online session and signed contracts totaling $6.6 million.
The online session laid a solid foundation for business cooperation between China and Africa and served as a bridge between both sides. Guiyang welcomes African entrepreneurs to invest, share the opportunities for opening-up, and promote cooperation in multiple fields, channels and forms.
The session was live on several mainstream media online platforms and achieved 2.15 million views.
