Chinese, intl youth cycle along Nansha's coastline

Over 100 young entrepreneurs, as well as Hong Kong and Macao youth and foreign residents, participated in a cycling event along the Longxue ecological embankment in Guangzhou's Nansha district on May 1, celebrating the district's coastal development.

The 10-kilometer route started at the Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey's scientific research terminal — the flame-collection site for China's 15th National Games (what year?) — and wound along the only coastline in Guangzhou directly facing the Lingding Channel. Riders passed towering port cranes and massive vessels on one side while taking in unobstructed ocean views on the other.

Following the ride, participants gathered for an English corner and roundtable discussion, where young professionals, international residents and representatives from Hong Kong and Macao shared their experiences of pursuing careers and building lives in Nansha.

Local officials also used the event to introduce Nansha's latest talent policies, covering housing subsidies, entrepreneurship support and healthcare services.

The event highlighted Nansha's efforts to create an open, welcoming environment that attracts and retains young talent from across China and abroad.
