The award ceremony for the 2025 Nansha Cultural and Creative Competition, in partnership with the national platform China Gift, was held on April 20 at Nansha Hotel in Nansha district, Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province.

Wu Ziyan, a primary student from Nansha district, won the gold award of the youth group with her entry, which featured distinct Lingnan culture and the National Games theme. Wu has participated in the Nansha Cultural and Creative Competition for three consecutive years.

Since its launch, the competition has received over 1,000 entries from across society, with participants from Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions accounting for over 30 percent of the total entrants.

The submissions spanned various fields, including digital creativity, intangible cultural heritage revitalization, and fashion design, showcasing the diverse vitality of cultural creativity in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Winning entries will have the opportunity to be recommended for inclusion on the national platform China Gift, gaining broader commercialization opportunities and international promotion channels.

Since its inception in 2021, the competition has attracted over 7,000 designers, including more than 1,200 young designers from Hong Kong and Macao, becoming a crucial platform for cultural collaboration in the Greater Bay Area.

Olympic diving champion Guo Jingjing, who is also vice-chair of the Nansha Culture Association, emphasized the competition's role in connecting creative forces and promoting cultural exportation, pledging to continue advancing the "cultural creativity+" model.
