Pablo Ruz Villanueva, mayor of Elche, Spain, paid a three-day visit to Guangzhou's Nansha district from April 14 to 16, seeking to strengthen local-level cooperation in industry, trade, culture, tourism and education.
During his stay, the mayor and his delegation toured key sites, including the GAC Technology Museum, where they praised Chinese new energy vehicles’ smart driving technology and design.
At (the headquarters of?) CloudWalk Technology, they spoke highly of the company’s advanced AI applications in airports and banking.
The delegation also visited Zhixin Nansha School, expressing interest in establishing sister-school ties and fostering student exchanges.
The delegation said Nansha’s openness, industrial vitality and urban infrastructure were impressive, adding they looked forward to formalizing cooperation agreements.
Next, Nansha will continue to deepen and solidify its cooperation with Elche, steadily expand its "circle of friends" for international cooperation, and support the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through high-level opening-up.
