2 new Nansha healthcare facilities commence operations

On Dec 22, the new comprehensive building of Nansha District People's Hospital and the Dagang Advanced Manufacturing Park Outpatient Department opened for operations.

The new comprehensive building of Nansha District People's Hospital covers about 23,400 square meters and stands 16 stories tall. It integrates functions such as critical and emergency care, advanced medical imaging, and smart healthcare.

Upon operation, the hospital's total bed capacity increased to 500 beds, enhancing the region's capabilities to diagnose and treat complex and severe illnesses, as well as its public health emergency response capacity. This development will help alleviate the challenge of limited access to medical services for residents. Concurrently, the hospital has initiated a ward renovation and upgrading project, with the goal of becoming the Nansha District Emergency Hospital.

Simultaneously, the Dagang Advanced Manufacturing Park Outpatient Department, the district's first public healthcare extension service point embedded within an industrial park, was activated. Directly operated by Nansha District People's Hospital, it is equipped with general practice, traditional Chinese medicine, laboratory testing, and other functional units. The facility will provide convenient, accessible, and high-quality "at-your-doorstep" medical services for industrial workers in the park and surrounding residents, featuring a green channel for direct referrals to the main hospital.
