On Dec 12, the Cross-Border E-commerce Conference was held in Nansha district, Guangzhou. During the conference, three key projects were launched, enhancing Nansha's function as a core hub for cross-border e-commerce.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangzhou) Cross-Border E-commerce Research Institute was established through a joint effort between the Guangdong E-Business Association and SHEIN Group. The institute will concentrate on exploring policies, industry trends, and business practices. Its goal is to promote collaboration among industry, academia, and research via an institutional platform, ultimately offering valuable insights and decision-making support for the growth of cross-border e-commerce.
The global promotion for the Top Ideal Global Premium Products Distribution Center has launched. Utilizing the benefits of the Nansha Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the center combines various functions, including bonded warehousing and cross-border e-commerce distribution. It provides customized warehouses for all product categories and adopts a "one-warehouse-serves-all-platforms" service model. By integrating green and smart facilities, it aims to establish a sustainable supply chain.
The Outlets Cross-Border E-commerce Headquarters Base and Digital Trade Port was unveiled. This project innovatively combines the "cross-border e-commerce + physical consumption" model. By incorporating international brand resources, it offers an immersive global shopping experience and serves as an innovative platform for brand globalization and consumer upgrades.
From January to October this year, Nansha's import and export volume of cross-border e-commerce exceeded 60 billion yuan ($8.51 billion), representing a growth of over 60 percent compared to the previous year.
