Recently, the luxury hotel W Maldives unveiled its major renovation to the global luxury resort market, with its overwater villas and coral reef pools transformed into a "starlit dreamland" under the night sky.
Behind the glittering spectacle was the meticulous craftsmanship of Aero Light, a lighting company based in Nansha district of Guangzhou – capital of South China's Guangdong province – which spent 15 months creating the superlative lighting system.
Last year, Aero Light established the Aero Innovation Factory in Nansha to focus on producing high-value-added lighting fixtures – embarking on a new overseas business expansion in tandem with intelligent manufacturing.
General Manager Huang Zeyong said its top products, full lifecycle services and a decade of expertise in hotel lighting led W Maldives to choose Aero Light as the lighting supplier for the project.
He added that through an innovative model combining "technology + art + ecology", Aero Light aimed to integrate customized luxury hotel lighting systems with elements of Maldivian local culture to create a local "light language" that embodied the identity of luxury island resorts.
Aero Light has completed over 300 lighting projects for five-star hotels worldwide, including iconic projects in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
Huang said that Nansha, part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, enjoyed a special geological advantage. It had developed an industrial ecosystem – with its automotive manufacturing industry cluster and mature precision manufacturing processes, in particular, providing strong industrial chain support for the upgrading of its lighting product craftsmanship.
