Youth innovation, entrepreneurship carnival held in Nansha

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Carnival was held at Innovation Bay in Nansha district of Guangzhou – capital of South China's Guangdong province – on March 7.

Innovation Bay in Nansha district is a youth innovation and entrepreneurship center that focuses on providing a platform for young people to pursue exchanges and deeper integration.

The event aimed to provide a platform for young people in the Bay Area to showcase their entrepreneurship qualities. It also aimed to exchange achievements and share policies – fostering interaction, communications and a deep integration among youth innovators and entrepreneurs from the nine cities in Guangdong Province plus Hong Kong and Macao.

To show the innovative achievements of over 50 youth entrepreneurial enterprises, the event also featured a youth entrepreneurship market. Some 60 stands focused on five main themes – smart manufacturing, biotechnology, AI, new media and comprehensive projects.

The technological innovation products covered areas such as AI, biomedicine and cultural arts, including smart city solutions and cultural creative products developed by young talent from Hong Kong and Macao, as well as AI applications nurtured locally in Nansha.

Rows of stands were neatly arranged outside the venue, with crowds gathering at each – with folks either listening carefully to presentations or discretely exchanging entrepreneurial know-how and experiences.

What's more, the event included sessions on Nansha's youth innovation policies and exchanges with cultural and creative enterprises.

There, officials from municipal departments provided detailed explanations of policies supporting youth innovation and entrepreneurship – helping entrepreneurs to better understand and utilize the policy resources.
