China Unicom hosts Information, Communication Sub-Forum at GSF

The Information and Communication Sub-Forum of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum 2024 took place in Nansha, Guangzhou, on Nov 17.

China Unicom, the organizer of the sub-forum, announced the establishment of the Greater Bay Area Unicom Innovation Institute in Guangdong during the event. It also unveiled a series of innovative products and achievements.

Several leading experts and scholars in the information industry delivered keynote speeches on topics such as industrial internet of things, ubiquitous intelligent systems, cybersecurity, low-altitude economy, computing power networks, next-generation Internet technologies, big data, and artificial intelligence.

China Unicom presented multiple innovative achievements at the event, including the inauguration of a low-altitude intelligent network innovation development base and the release of the world's first digital low-altitude intelligent network research report. In addition, it is collaborating with Pengcheng Laboratory, Tsinghua University, and several other universities to establish a technological innovation consortium.

In recent years, China Unicom has been continuously strengthening its position as a leading entity in corporate technological innovation, focusing on building a digital China that excels in internet-related sectors. It has vigorously developed strategic emerging industries and future industries, accelerating its transformation into a globally competitive world-class technology service enterprise.

Looking ahead, the company will actively serve national strategies and further enhance its innovation capabilities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in order to turn the GSF into a new hub of technological innovation in China.
