The Companion with Champions charity event took place at the Nansha Guangzhou Automobile Group Technology Center on Sept 29 in Nansha district.
The event featured the presence of Guangdong Olympic champions including Quan Hongchan, Xie Siyi, Chen Yiwu, Chen Qingchen, Wang Liuyi, and Wang Qianyi – along with relevant leaders and media representatives.
During this summer's Paris Games, the Guangdong athletes achieved a record-breaking performance with eight gold, four silver and four bronze medals – contributing significantly to the Chinese sports delegation's overall success.
At the charity event, the Guangzhou-headquartered automaker GAC Group presented a total of its 10 Aion Tyrannosaurus and Trumpchi E8 model cars to the champions and coaches, showcasing its support for the sports sector.
In the presence of the Guangdong Olympic champions and coaches, the Guangdong Sports Department awarded GAC Group the title of Charity Partner.
Following the event, participants visited the GAC Green Intelligent Car Home – witnessing the interaction between smart cars and smart homes that are designed to support energy conservation and carbon reductions.
