Nansha advances ecological systems for greener future

In May 2024, the Wanqingsha Reclamation History Exhibition Hall in Nansha district, Guangzhou, hosted a World Environment Day promotional event titled "Building a beautiful Guangzhou, creating a model beautiful city in China".

During the event, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Ecological Civilization Education Program was launched, aiming to strengthen ecological civilization education for young people, facilitate in-depth collaboration among various resources, and collectively build a beautiful China. Several social organizations became participating units in this program, providing ecological civilization education bases for young people.

Furthermore, the event honored representatives of the Beautiful Nansha Volunteer Service Team, encouraging them to conduct grassroots public service activities and calling on the public to actively participate in ecological and environmental protection volunteer services.

It featured themed booths where people could learn about ecosystems, carbon neutrality, waste-free city construction, and more through displays and interactive activities, engaging the public in the development of Nansha.

The event aims to cultivate ecological culture, promote green lifestyles, enhance ecological environmental protection, and contribute to the sustainable development of the city.

In recent years, Nansha has been prioritizing ecology and promoting green, low-carbon development. Through various ecological system construction and pilot projects, ecological governance has been improved, creating an ecologically livable Nansha.
