On May 9, a delivery ceremony for a 50,000-metric-ton new green chemical product oil ship was held on Longxue Island in Nansha, Guangzhou.

The ship, with a total length of 183 meters and a breadth of 32 meters, is equipped with advanced energy-saving devices and exhaust treatment systems to further reduce fuel consumption and meet the latest regulatory requirements, demonstrating the advanced development of China's new green chemical product oil ships.

The vessel is the independently developed 15th generation of the green multi-purpose MR-type oil ship, focusing on maneuverability and energy efficiency, with additional equipment such as wind energy tubes and air resistance reduction devices used to provide a premium experience.

Despite being classified as "medium-sized" in the maritime industry, this new type of vessel demonstrates strong competitiveness in the market. Guangzhou International's oil tanker sector currently has orders for over 40 ships, with this ship type accounting for more than half. Its main routes cover Southeast Asia, the Americas, and Europe, transporting methanol, palm oil, and various plant oils. This ship type, a flagship of Guangzhou International, has twice been honored as the "Manufacturing Industry Champion Product."

Throughout the construction process, Guangzhou Shipyard International Company adhered to the "triple-win" concept, promoting lean management, advancing processes, and improving efficiency. This resulted in the ship's completion nearly two months ahead of the contract schedule, showcasing the company's strong capabilities in the MR-type oil ship field.
