Foreign media soak up Guangzhou's traditional culture

After attending a sub-forum of the 5th World Media Summit (WMS) on Dec 4, a delegation of foreign media embarked on a trip exploring downtown Guangzhou.

They toured Xiguan, visited Canton Tower, and embarked on a cruise along the Pearl River, while also experiencing Cantonese Opera culture, practicing calligraphy, and enjoying the beautiful night views of Guangzhou.

At the Cantonese Opera Museum, foreign media professionals dressed in traditional Cantonese opera costumes and received guidance from master performers, learning various techniques and poses.

Some of the foreign media also picked up brushes and wrote auspicious "福" characters in Chinese, expressing their best wishes. They also tried their hand at painting traditional ink plum blossoms.

Having immersed themselves in Lingnan traditional culture, the foreign media professionals climbed up Canton Tower to overlook the dazzling lights of Zhujiang New City, experiencing another facet of Guangzhou's modern prosperity.
