The East Tech West event, also known as CNBC's global technology conference, is being held at the Nansha Garden Hotel from Oct 17 to 18.
The event focuses on topics such as investment perspectives, advancing sustainability, navigating the automotive evolution, the intersection of digital horizons, and the tech revolution in healthcare.
Over 200 global technology pioneers, business elites, experts, and scholars gathered in Nansha for the meeting, exploring investment and cooperation opportunities through roundtable discussions and fireside chats.
This is the fifth edition of the global technology conference held in this district, and it is the only international technology conference hosted by CNBC in China. This year, both the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Group participated, hoping to cooperate with more Chinese technology startups.
Max Raven, executive vice president of CNBC Universal, said CNBC, as the world's largest business and financial media outlet, conducted a survey and found that at least one out of every five most-watched CNBC news reports is related to China, and at least one is related to technological innovation.
Based on this finding, CNBC chose to bring the global technology conference to Nansha in Guangzhou, in order to witness the new technological innovations happening in China every year.
Statistics show that, since the first East Tech West was held in Nansha in 2018, it has attracted over 1,000 renowned figures and top executives from the international business and technology innovation fields to seek opportunities in Nansha.
