Hong Kong, Macao students complete internships in Nansha

The graduation session for the "100 enterprises, thousands of talents" internship program for Hong Kong and Macao students was held in Guangzhou's Nansha district on Aug 18.

This year's internship project, which lasted from July 18 to Aug 28, attracted 120 Hong Kong and Macao youths from universities like Peking University, Jinan University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and University of Macao.

During the session, nine participants of the internship project procured employment in five local companies, including Guangzhou Nansha Investment Consulting Co Ltd, China Railway Tunnel Stock Co Ltd, and China Railway Guangzhou Engineering Group Co Ltd. 

"Currently, we have employed four Hong Kong and Macao youths, and the bureau will continue to launch more job vacancies that cater to Hong Kong and Macao youths to attract more talents to participate in Nansha construction," said a person in charge of the Industrial Park Development Authority of Guangzhou Nansha New Area.

A person in charge of the Nansha Youth Federation said that a one-stop service platform for supporting the all-around development of Hong Kong and Macao youths in Nansha will be established to provide more internship opportunities.
