Located in the Pearl Bay, Nansha's super dyke project has an overall investment of nearly 700 million yuan ($100.27 million).

The dyke was built to be able to stop the worst flood in 200 years.

Upgrades and renovations have been made to part of dyke, stretching six kilometers, such as building ecological landscape corridors for the public and construction of supporting facilities.

The first phase of the corridor opening to the public is at Haibin Road, connecting Binhai Amusement Park and Nansha Tianhou Palace.
