The first, fourth and fifth confirmed cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia in Guangzhou’s Nansha district have been discharged from hospital after recovery, according to the local health authority.
They must still undergo 14-day home-based medical observations. The first was accommodated in a designated hotel, and the other two cases, who were identified as a mother and daughter, returned to their own home in Huangge town.
Doctors at the community health care center will visit them for temperature monitoring. Huangge town have also arranged staffs to help the observers solve living problems over the observation period.
The relevant authorities have now inspected all 48 households from the epidemic-stricken areas or that have been in close contact with them. Of these, 12 households have not yet returned, and 36 have come back to Guangzhou and finished the declaration process.
Of the 36 households, 11 are undergoing home observation, and 25 have completed the process with normal health conditions.
The property management company delivers daily necessities not only for the people under home quarantine but also for the residents of the entire community.
In addition, daily disinfection of public areas -- especially elevators and garbage drop points -- temperature measurements and ID registrations are also conducted every day.
As of 24:00 on Feb 12, Guangzhou reported 327 confirmed cases of COVID-19 disease, including 78 who have been cured.
