Nansha New Area in Guangdong Free Trade Zone and Suifenhe New Area of Heilongjiang Free Trade Zone signed a strategic partnership framework agreement on Nov 30 in Harbin, the capital city of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province.
It marks the coordinated development between coastal and border zones.
Pan Yuzhang, deputy director general of the Administrative Committee of Nansha Development Zone, and Wang Xingzhu, municipal Party Secretary of Suifenhe city, signed the document at the event.
The agreement states that Nansha and Suifenhe will further strengthen resource sharing and complementary advantages in order to maintain stable, comprehensive and long-term cooperation.
The pair of partners will collaborate in institutional and financial innovation, government services, trade facilitation and talent introduction. Their experiences will also set an example of cooperation and benefit the entire country.
Suifenhe Free Trade Zone, located in China’s northeastern border and launched in September, aims to drive revitalization of Northeast China-- and collaboration with Russia-- by boosting investment and trade facilitation and fostering a first-class business environment.
It is an important opening-up hub that specializes in timber, food and clean energy processing industries, and service industries such as e-commerce, modern logistics, trade and finance.
