Guangzhou’s Nansha district held the AI & All Guangzhou International Summit 2019, one of China’s highest-profile artificial intelligence meetings, on Oct 23 and 24.
Scientists and experts from different countries and regions such as China, the US and the UK gave 10 keynote speeches centered around the topic of “AI remaining everywhere”.
Scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering as well as local government leaders and entrepreneurs from related industries had a warm discussion about AI technology’s application in various fields like medicare and transportation.
They analyzed in depth the potential adverse impacts and security risks and called for a responsibility system of policy and legal ethics which values both frontier exploration and constraining force.

Chinese top runners Huawei Technology, iFLYTEK and PCITECH rolled out their influential technologies and products at the summit.
Huawei released two products which are based on an Atlas intelligent computing platform developed with the joint efforts of Asia Link Technology and YGSOFT.
One is aimed at solving a transformer substation’s operation and maintenance problems, and the other is designed for intelligent accounting service using optical character recognition plus big data technology.
In addition, iFLYTEK introduced a big data educational platform, and PCITECH presented a new generation comprehensive monitoring system for metro operations.
Notably, the conference adopted multilingual virtual hosts and a smart service system to help the participants take in the contents.
The attendees also witnessed the unveiling of the Shenzhen National New-Generation AI Innovation & Development Pilot Zone and the signing ceremonies for a series of major technological cooperation projects.
The conference was an opportunity for Guangdong province to learn advanced experience from home and abroad and to talk with the world.
