This cruise ship homeport has moved quickly to its acceptance phase and to be ready for a trial operation in October.

The entire construction includes a 60,000-square-meter terminal and two berths for ships measuring up to 225,000 and 100,000 gross tons.

Only 500 meters separate the project site and local subway line 4,making the homeport the first in the country to realize seamless connection to a metro station.

The terminal' s general architectural image was inspired by a whale leaping into the air and the building' s façade design was highlighted with local intangible cultural heritage Gambiered Guangdong Gauze, a kind of valuable silk fabric dubbed "soft gold" .

Nansha district receipted 52 liners carrying 264,700 entry-exit tourists from January to July this year.

This new built port now services nine routes to the Hong Kong SAR, Japan, Vietnam and the Philippines, which is expected to promote the local cruise industry.

The district will explore building a cruise industrial park as the next step by intensifying its search for investment and opening new routes.
