Guangzhou' s Nansha district sent delegations to the UK and Germany on July 22 and July 27 to attract overseas talents through exchange meetings.

The district picked out leading enterprises in technology fields who offered more than 100 important posts. The highest-paid post offered a millionyuan($141,503) yearly salary; it was put forward by the Guangzhou Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Many student attendees show interest in the jobs after learning about thelocal regional advantages, human resource policies and details of the positions.
“Nansha has a promising future, so I would like to go there. Its preferential policy is even better than those on which I have kept an eye before,” said Yu Zhenhua, a doctoral degree candidate from Imperial College London.
The delegation visited a series of major universities including Oxford, Imperial College London, the University of Edinburgh, Technical University Munich and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. All these universities are looking forward to a cooperative mechanism for sending graduates to Nansha.
The communicative activities also secured support from the Chinese embassies in the UK and Switzerland.
The district has carried out a reward policy for backbone talents since 2015, paying a total of 350 million yuan ($49.4 million) in bonuses to over 9,000 young talents.
Safeguard measures were also upgraded. Local governments provide outstanding youths with 28 advantages such as medical care, purchase benefits, and convenient commercial and financial services.
