The anticipated bridge, spanning 550 meters, is a self-anchored suspension bridge with double towers, both of which are made of steel and 133.5-meter high.
It will green light traffic at a speed of 60 km per hour.
The structure will be a crucial channel connecting the Wanqingsha area and Longxue island work area in the city, and is expected to boost local economic development.
Inspiration for the oval twin bridge towers came from Wok Rooms, a traditional local-style dwelling in Lingnan area, South China, whose gables resemble the pair of ears of a big wok.
Meanwhile, the oval shape looks like a bright moon lighting up the sky, and through the annular ellipse passengers will be able to see the vast landscape of Guangzhou' s Nansha district.

Notably, the design adopts a view-borrowing technique by seeing the towers as frames of pictures, making the artificial building much more harmonious with the natural scenery.
When night falls, "bright moons" will beam luminous light, decorating the city' s night scene and guaranteeing nearby traffic safety.
As a future cultural card of Nansha area, the bridge is expected to attract leagues of tourists.
