The newly established office will strengthen supervision of registration, major events, behavior modification, information collection and coordination and notification.
It undertakes coordinating the work of public security, courts and judicial departments and will effectively eliminate long-distance management and better help people return to society.
The Nansha District Judicial Bureau has innovated methods of community modification, improved the quality of community modification education, promoted standardization in modification work, and implemented community supervision enforcement.
The bureau also jointly carried out a three-month special campaign of community modification supervision and inspection with the district procuratorate. It examined the ideological status of the community prisoners, made an in-depth search for outstanding problems and weak links in community modification work, and promoted the standardization of community modification work.
It has also utilized modern means to carry out supervision, not only achieving 100 percent coverage of the positioning of the electronic bracelet, but also promoting construction of the "Smart Society Community Modification" project.
The information verification work will be carried out through the prisoner information management system of the ministry of justice.
At the same time, the community modification center remote video interview system was launched to provide 109 remote video visits for prisoners and detoxification staff.
The bureau, together with the relevant functional departments, assists qualified prisoners in implementing minimum living security and social assistance such as medical care, education, employment, and temporary assistance.
It encourages and supports prisoners to start their own businesses and seek self-employment, and coordinates with the Nansha District People's Social Security Bureau to provide vocational skills training and recommend employment opportunities as required.
