Nansha's finance innovation boosts GBA's development

"Nansha is the only sub-center of Guangzhou and has many policy advantages. With its more optimized business environment, its development vision will become true," said Li Fangqi, deputy chief economist of the Nansha Development Zone Administration Committee.

Li summed things up by saying that Nansha has certain new characteristics. In recent years, nearly 100,000 new enterprises have gathered there.

Industries such as artificial intelligence, shipping logistics, advanced manufacturing, financial commerce, and marine technology have developed rapidly.

Nansha has accumulated 439 institutional innovations. Since the start of the construction of the GBA, Hong Kong and Macao enterprises have invested a lot in the district.

In 2018, there were 1,504 new Hong Kong and Macao enterprises and new investment of $ 49.6 billion.

Nansha will become a green ecological zone with convenient transportation. Around Nansha, there are 11 cities and five international airports, and it is also building major infrastructure such as rail lines, high-speed roads and cross-river bridges.

The financial leasing industry is the featured industry of Nansha. Nearly 2,200 financial leasing companies chose Nansha, accounting for more than 80 percent of such ventures in the city.

They have arranged leasing of 112 aircrafts and 52 ships, creating the largest aircraft leasing site in the GBA.
