Nansha increases financial talent support policies

Guangzhou’s Nansha district included financial talents in the scope of district talent awards and formulated a lot of support policies at a recent press conference on the results of high-level financial talent support projects.

Guangzhou's high-level financial talents project had a total of 316 financial personnel and an incentive fund of 42.55 million yuan($6.16 million) in 2018.

Nansha has honored 929 financial talents with a total of 40.29 million yuan according to the Guangzhou Local Financial Supervision Bureau.

Financial talents, especially those at a high-level, have played a huge role in Guangzhou's rapid financial development.

In addition, Guangzhou is striving to increase the training of high-level financial talents and publicize the advantages of collecting them.

In the four years since the implementation of its high-level financial talent project, Guangzhou has awarded four financial leaders, 340 senior financial management personnel and 739 senior financial professionals. The rewards total more than 133 million yuan.

In addition to Nansha, the city’s Haizhu, Panyu districts also have financial talent awards in mind.

In 2018, 887 key financial talents were honored, involving 75 financial enterprises (institutions), with an award amount of about 35.9 million yuan, according to Nansha Development Zone Financial Administration's statistics.

Hong Kong and Macao talents can also enjoy adjusted rewards according to the tax difference. Foreign talents can take the award with a reduction of more than 15 percent of the tax burden.

Senior management talents who meet the requirements can also receive additional financial recognition in addition to enjoying special talent awards.

Natural persons or limited partners are rewarded according to 80 percent of their local contribution to the previous year's investment in the district.
