A number of infrastructure projects in Guangzhou’s Nansha district, including the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Railway, Nansha Bridge, the Second Affiliated Middle School of South China Normal University, and the second construction phase of the Central Hospital have been completed.
The district has focused on the construction of major projects and continued to work on infrastructure and public services in recent years.

Since the establishment of Nansha, public transportation has grown to 700 vehicles from the initial 10. From the initial six bus lines to the current 82, the distances covered have increased from 225 kilometers to nearly 2,000 km, benefiting 800,000 permanent residents in the region.
After 14 years' development, Nansha's bus has undergone an upgrade, from the earliest diesel engine to the more environmentally friendly hybrid of oil and electric engine, to the pure electric bus. There is no more disturbing noise when riding, and the buses are stable and fast. Even the payment has changed from coin-operated to QR code.
In the past few decades, Nansha has built large and small bridges such as Xiaohu First Bridge, Xiaohu Second Bridge, Xinlongte Bridge, Phoenix Bridge, Jiaomen River Double Bridge and others. The construction of these bridges has greatly eased heavy traffic pressure and saved travel time.
Nansha is promoting the rapid flow of economic development factors such as inter-regional logistics, and achieving high-quality development in the Pearl River Delta.
Under the reform environment, Nansha has undergone earth-shaking changes. Jinzhou-Chongwei village has caught up with the wave of reforms and taken the lead in launching urban renewal projects and drawing up new urban blueprints.
A villager called "A Wen" said that in the past few years the village has changed a lot, the streets have been cleaned up, and public facilities have been improved.
Nansha has insisted on deepening green development, and is focused on improving the living environment and comprehensively promoting new urbanization.
Implementation of the village environment improvement and upgrading project, creation of central towns, construction of villages, and rectification of hidden dangers in urban villages are all underway in Nansha.

The development of "beautiful industry" and the creation of "beautiful culture" are the two major calling cards of Nansha. The district has built villages with their own characteristics and cultural deposits, such as "Kylin Culture."
Wanqingsha town is developing coastal fishery tourism, and strengthening the construction of tourists wharfs, focusing on building the tourism industry of coastal fishing villages.
