An endless stream of vehicles was coming out of the exit passage. Three to five groups of passengers also left the Humen Ferry terminal by using the sidewalk.
This was the last time for them to take the ferry. All of them will be left with memories of the closing of the Humen Ferry.
Wu Yanfei, a local resident, remembered that when she was young, her father bought his first dump truck for business. And then, his father took her for the first time on the ferry. After school, the ferry was Wu Yanfei's only means of transportation. The feelings of excitement and joy are still in her mind now.

A women surnamed Wei said that the closing of the Humen Ferry provides a better choice for the surrounding residents. The stable and comfortable environment makes the residents on both sides of the strait more willing to communicate and feel close to each other.
Among the passengers who took the ferry on the last day were many cycling enthusiasts, among them Falin, who started his rides in 2013. For the riders, Humen Ferry brought years of convenience. They often went to Nansha to ride, and then took the ferry to the other side, which saved at least 70-80 kilometers.
