Updated: 2019-04-24

Guangzhou Nansha Industrial Intellectual Property Alliance was established in Nansha on April 19, right at the beginning of the 2019 Intellectual Property Week.

In 2018, the number of Nansha patent applications and authorizations were 9,875 and 4,521, a year-on-year increase of 98.5 percent and 79.8 percent respectively.

The alliance brings together intellectual property rights institutions such as Jinan University Intellectual Property Institute, Guangzhou Intellectual Property Rights Institute, South China Technology Transfer Center, iFLY TEK South China Co, Guangzhou Shipbuilding International Co, and Guangzhou Automobile Toyota Motor Co.

It will carry out activities to popularize intellectual property protection knowledge in Nansha.

“The alliance will respond to the national strategies through bringing together intellectual property development and protection resources. It will strengthen innovation exchanges and cooperation in the management of intellectual property rights," said a staff member in charge of market supervision.

This year, Nansha will launch a series of activities such as intellectual training programs for enterprises. These will effectively promote the development of the intellectual property industry, diversify mediation methods for intellectual property disputes, and promote the protection of intellectual property rights in people's lives.
