Nansha volunteer service activities, organized by the Nansha District Civilization Office and other units, were held in Dongchong Town on March 5.
The event attracted more than 100 volunteers and more than 500 villagers. There were volunteer performances, services such as free clinics, legal consultations, and garden activities, all carried out in a warm atmosphere.
Interestingly, a mother and daughter pair from the United States took on the drum performance, feeling the spirit of Leifeng.

The 14-year-old daughter said " My Chinese name is Nili. I came to China with my parents. We like Chinese culture very much. Last October, my mother and 9-year-old sister joined a cheongsam association. We are very happy to be able to participate in volunteer service activities. We prepared our performance in advance. Thank you for your encouragement."
The director of the cheongsam association told the reporter " Nili's family is very friendly. In addition to learning Chinese culture, Chinese characters, Chinese dance and others things, they are also enthusiastic about participating in volunteer performances and are very active in daily rehearsals.”
The event is divided into three parts: a cultural performance, on-site services and a street fair.More than 10 volunteer service teams provided villagers with free clinics, haircuts, repairs and legal consultations.A villager said " Now, high-level performances and volunteer services have come to our home."
One volunteer, Chen, who has accumulated 180 volunteer hours, said "' dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress' are the embodiment of the volunteer spirit of the new era. In recent years, more and more people have taken part in volunteer activities."
