Nansha's business environment continuously optimized

Last year, many Nansha departments worked together to aggregate cutting-edge "IAB" companies. The Guangzhou International Artificial Intelligence Industry Research Institute attracted more than 100 domestic and foreign artificial intelligence companies in 2018, and Guangdong Medical Valley attracted more than 90 biotechnology and medical and pharmaceutical companies within three months.

According to the statistics of the Investment Promotion Bureau of theNansha Development Zone, last year there were 37,743 new enterprises in the district, a year-on-year increase of 66%. The newly added registered capital was 841.18 billion yuan（$124.33 billion）, a year-on-year increase of 53%. A total of 1,477 foreign-invested enterprises were added, a 3.4-fold year-on-year increase.

A total of 36 Fortune 500 companies were introduced in 2018, an increase of 9% year-on-year. The excellent performance was  attributable to continuous optimization of Nansha's business environment in recent years.

In 2018, the reform and innovation of the Nansha Free Trade Zone has achieved remarkable results, with 105 new achievements, 33 of which were replicated and promoted throughout the country and province. The zone's development has vigorously promoted construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao comprehensive cooperation demonstration zone.

Investment and trade facilitation

Nansha has a catalogue of 107 business items such as registration available to Nansha residents at convenient locations. Since 2018, Nansha has promoted a“one-in-one acceptance” enterprise registration service to realize “fifty-certification joint registration". Nansha focused on launching business licenses and finalized business licenses for enterprises in one day and opening of bank accounts within two days.

Collection, examination and approval of the licensing and application information and filing of necessary materials were included in the scope of“one-in-one acceptance and multi-certification joint operation”, and most matters except for special review items might be settled within three days.

Talent Hub

In recent years, Nansha has introduced the “1+1+10” industry and talent policy system, which effectively accelerates the gathering of key industries and talents. The Chinese Academy of Sciences has established a high-level science and technology service platform and introduced high-quality educational and medical resources such as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The average annual growth rate of imported talents has exceeded 50%. The academy has gathered 5,000 talented people in key development areas in Nansha.
